Why we started

Kingsfoil Health was born from a desire to save businesses from our chaotic health insurance ecosystem. Our founder ran The Startup Stack for 5 years, connecting many thousands of founders with critical resources. Company after company was uninsured or underinsured, and no brokers seemed to care.

We started in 2024 with a fresh perspective on an old, tired industry. Most brokers are optimized for the status quo, renewing the same plans from the big health insurance carriers (the BUCAs of the world) year after year. We noticed two critical things: almost every employer has a fully funded plan, and almost none of them have been shown any other option. There are many other ways to structure plans, and those alternative structures are typically where the savings are when a renewal comes back with a big increase.

We're here to overhaul your company's benefits and HR experience. We're bringing the same proactive service that The Startup Stack was famous for but to your benefits experience. Every year, we will test all available options so that you know you're on the best fit for your company. We're based in Utah, serving the companies and communities we're part of.

I entered health insurance with a founder mindset. I saw industry insiders want to maintain the status quo, and that means huge renewal increases and feeling trapped.

Almost every company is on a fully funded plan, and very few have ever been walked through anything else. These alternatives are well-established. PEOs were at war with brokers for decades, but now they want to partner with the industry that long hated them. Most brokers still won't seriously discuss a PEO as an option for your business. ICHRAs are a great way to control costs while creating a great personalized buying experience for your employees. And of course many companies are ready for self-funded, level-funded, and other similar plan types which offer control and often a white glove experience.
